Candy

Here in Japan they have most of the same candy that we have in the United States - M&M's, Snickers and the whole meaning behind this post, Kit Kats.

In the US they have 3 different flavors of Kit Kats - milk chocolate, dark chocolate and white chocolate. That's it.

Now compare that to the flavors available in Japan. According to Wikipedia, Japan has introduced over 200 different flavors of Kit Kats since the year 2000! Could you freaking imagine?!

Just look at that pic from my local convenience store. They had passion fruit and strawberry and I just recently picked up pumpkin pudding Kit Kats from the supermarket! Some of the other flavors I have sampled are: green tea, royal milk tea, banana and sesame that I can think of off of the top of my head.

Now lets cruise the internet and see what other Kit Kat flavors exist out there in Japan - citrus golden blend, pear, Shinshu apple, edemame, sweet potato, hot chili, cinnamon cookie, strawberry cheesecake, blueberry cheesecake, Hojicha roasted tea, brown sugar, red bean sandwich and even wasabi.

Come on America, what is wrong with you? Why do we only get 3 wimpy flavors? Aren't we supposed to have the "freedom of choice" in the United States? Looks like Japan got us beat!

"Gimme a break, gimme a break, break me off a piece of that Kit Kat bar!"

Unless it's wasabi. You can keep that.
